Pictograms – Icons are important part of visual language of a graphic designer. They are more than just a decoration. Icons used in a good way can improve clarity and simplicity of a website or application. They can help in user's interaction and improve appearance. However, bad icons can cause user's frustration and they can lead to serious errors.
An aim of this presentation is to convey practical and theoretical information on how to use and create icons, which will improve your design. I will explain how to choose icons for specific use in websites and mobile applications, how to avoid common mistakes. And I will also describe process of creating an icon from start to finish. The presentation is going to be mostly practical with a hint of theoretical information.
