Open Graph Sponsored Stories
“Laser-Focused Ad-Targetting for Facebook Apps and Content”
Business Hall 30 min
Video sponsored by Websupport
What is the talk about?
Michael: Mobile App Install Ads and Sponsored Stories for Domains are currently the most widespread ways of advertising apps or content-heavy web sites on Facebook. These ads make it possible to promote likes, shares and app installations in an efficient manner, but is this really all?
Since the introduction of Open Graph in 2012, user interactions on your own app or web site can be displayed on Facebook with much more variety than ever before – and Open Graph Sponsored Stories are a valuable tool for boosting these interactions and improve your apps reach in Newsfeed.
Who is it for?
Michael: Everybody heavily involved in Facebook Marketing & Development, ready to do the next step and go beyond the well-known & established ad-formats. The session is probably not suited for people who are just starting out with Facebook marketing.
What will the audience get from it?
Michael: If you feel like your brands Facebook -presence can do more than just cookie-cutter promotions and contests, but are unsure how - this is the session for you!
What do you presently work at?
Michael: I'm currently CEO of "Die Socialisten" - a Vienna-based Social Software-agency I've co-founded in 2010. We're focussed on the design & implementation of applications and marketing-solutions on social web platforms like Facebook & Twitter.
Our company is listed in Facebooks Preferred Marketing Developer Program (PMD) for categories Apps & Pages. To date, we have successfully built more than onehundred brand- pages, applications and integrations of external websites. Our clients include Red Bull, Burton Europe, Axel Springer/Bild.de, Krone Multimedia, ATV and Hitradio Ö3.
Since 2013, we're also offering Swat.io (http://swat.io), a social media management suite aimed at agencies and large businesses.
Which of your existing achievements do you value the most?
Michael: Founding our company and keeping it a place software developers love to work at :) I'm especially proud, happy & grateful that we as a company are in a position to do a yearly summercamp called #camp404 - Each year we retreat from daily business for a week of sun, fun & hacking - check out http://camp404.socialisten.at!
What would you like to achieve?
Michael: My currently biggest goal is to establish our social media management suite Swat.io - we've started our public offering only a few months ago and already see some great interest. However, there's still lot to do :)
What do you look forward to at the WebExpo?
Michael: Meeting lots of interesting people from all around europe, opportunities to show what our company can offer in social media for your brand!
