Jirka: There is no need to use such low level language like Javascript for writing cool interactive web sites.

What do you presently work at?
Jirka: I'm working on specification that will make automated translation and localization of Web pages easier (http://www.w3.org/TR/its20/), I'm developing function library for processing binary data in XPath/XQuery/XSLT (http://expath.org/spec/binary). I'm involved in dozen of standards group ranging from HTML, XML, XSLT to DocBook.

Which of your existing achievements do you value the most?
Jirka: Family. Web technologies are there just for fun and for making some money.

Jirka: World full of peace and with no poverty (just kidding, field is required, I'm not Miss WebExpo :-)
