It was 1998 on a large desert island in the middle of everyone’s other-side-of-the-world. The Sydney Olympics and the Y2K bug were coming, rave culture was disappearing, and breakdancing didn’t know where to turn. The only sane thing to do was to start a hip hop magazine and call it Stealth.
In-between magazine insomnia, Mark has worked at Leo Burnett, TribalDDB, McCann, and Big Spaceship for Levi’s, Canon, Samsung, AXE, Kleenex, Amstel, and Audi. He’s done UX, brand and digital strategy, social media and content.
Listed in the AdNews Top 40 under 40 and as one of Sydney’s Top 100 Creative Catalysts, he’s also spoken at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, TEDx, AIGA HOW Design, and he’s taught on Skillshare and at Miami Ad School.
Currently alive in New York, he’s turned people-watching and deep conversation into a career. Maybe desert islands and magazine insomnia do that to people.
