The new layout methods in CSS mean that for the first time we can choose the method to use, rather than settling for what works. In this talk I will introduce Flexbox, CSS Grid Layout and Box Alignment through a lens of performance. What tasks are suited to these new methods? Are there times you should rely on a legacy method instead? How do we ensure we still support older browsers, and those using our sites on slower connections?
