Intro to <Design Ethically>
Lucerna Cinema Small Hall
More than ever, we are realizing that our products have vast effects on society and that taking time to consider the ethical consequences behind decisions is crucial. This is not another rant on why we need ethics in tech. We know that. This is an exploration of actionable steps that teams (especially designers) can take to steer products in the right direction. In a follow-up to her talk, "Design Ethically: From Imperative to Action," Kat Zhou will be hosting an interactive workshop that introduces <Design Ethically> methodology. This methodology has been taught at a variety of tech conferences and piloted at IBM. Attendees will leave this workshop with an understanding of how to forecast effects for products and design for positive impact.
