We are bringing you the very first taste of the preliminary results of the second census of UX professionals in Czechia and Slovakia. Data collection took place during summer 2021. The topics this talk will cover are:
How did the UX community change since the last census (2017)?
What is the current state of the UX community in Czechia and Slovakia? Subtopics: education, seniority, skills, salaries, tools, trends etc.
How did the COVID-19 pandemic affect UX professionals?
What else can we learn from the data?
And finally what we’ve messed up?
Jitka Bartošová
Researcher @ Masaryk University Brno
Jitka is a researcher at the Department of Information and Library Studies at Masaryk University Brno and the Department of Multimedia at Prague University of Business and Economics. At the latter, she is currently responsible for the content of a new Master’s UX specialization. Previously, she worked as a UX Research Manager in Kiwi.com. She has a PhD in Cognitive Science of Language from McMaster University in Canada.
Lukáš Marvan
Discovery Manager @ Avast
Bob works as a Discovery Manager at Avast, so things like the right design process, methodology and workshops are his daily routine. Before joining the team at Avast, he worked at MSD, AVG and Seznam.cz, and he has over 20 years of experience with online services and digital products. With the support of the UX Association, he also designed and implemented a traveling exhibition on digital design (zapixely.cz) and ongoing research of UX professionals in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic (humansofux.com).
