Talk details:

We have excellent tools today for identifying web performance barriers and finding opportunities to optimise and potentially improve user experience. The problem is that it’s hard to know whether an optimization will help without implementing and testing it. This takes time, incurs risks, and sometimes results in hard work that may never reach production. Recently, tools that enable fast and unobtrusive experimentation entered the scene, giving superpowers to those who can wield them. In this talk, Scott will demonstrate ways to simulate and analyse optimizations on live websites without actually changing their code. He’ll also assess which optimizations are making the greatest impact on improving user experience across the web today.
