You’ve probably heard about Core Web Vitals (CWV) — the three performance metrics Google is promoting in an effort to encourage a better user experience on the web. But what if your custom web fonts are the reason your site keeps scoring so low on these metrics? In this practical talk, Michal will show you how CWV metrics relate to font loading and what you can do to improve them.

Michal is an experienced frontend developer. Since 2011, he and his colleagues have been building the development agency SUPERKODERS. He specialises in React development, animation, and web performance. Plus, he also runs the project PageSpeed.cz, a project focused on helping to improve the performance of Czech-based websites (after all, we all know that on-site speed matters).
