The Cassandra database was created (as well as other NoSQL databases) as a solution to real problems, which cannot be solved by traditional relational databases. The lecture will present Cassandra in terms of application developer, compare its potential with the possibilities of relation databases and finally show how its usage can change architecture of whole application.
