Data science for esports: The past and the future
What are the challenges when dealing with data from esports matches? What kind of pitfalls do you encounter when building mathematical models on top of data? How has the growing field of esports evolved in recent years and what does the future look like?
Prokop will share his own experiences building and testing mathematical models designed for live betting on esports matches. He will discuss the specific needs and requirements of this field, the adjustments that were needed to fit those needs, and the lessons he learned along the way.

Prokop joined the data analysis and mathematical modelling team in Oddin.gg in 2018, and moved up to the team leader position two years later. He always tries to understand how things work and loves implementing smart and simple solutions.
