Jan Šimák
Site Reliability Engineering Manager
Sky
Jan has shifted his path from an engineering role to managerial role almost 8 years ago and back then he absolutely didn't know what does it mean to be a good leader. Due to lack of knowledge, he was making a lot of mistakes as he was still doing this job with a mindset of engineer. Thankfully for him, he's been passionate about leadership topics so that he started to learn and shortly understood that this is a completely different job, requiring different skill set. His never ending goal is to ensure people around him are feeling safe, heard and they are happy when the weekend is over and sad when Friday afternoon comes.
