WebExpo 2024 is a leading conference covering deep tech & practical topics for developers, designers, product managers, and online marketers, among others. • Premium Workshops (May 31) – full-day hands-on workshops with top-notch experts: Harry Roberts, Cassie Evans, and Vitaly Friedman. Snacks throughout the day and hot lunch included.

WebExpo 2024 will be in-person only, so we can enjoy the experience together and meet people and speakers face-to-face. For us, there’s nothing quite like the spontaneous connections you make IRL at Gamified Mentoring, Discomfort Zone, and (of course) the legendary parties. That being said, we will still have videos of all WebExpo talks available after the conference, so you’ll be able to view and catch up on any sessions you didn’t manage to attend.

WebExpo is located in Prague, Czech Republic at Lucerna Palace (view map) in the New Town quarter. We’re within walking range of many national monuments and attractions, and the Lucerna building itself is a national cultural monument, too. Yes, WebExpo welcomes attendees of all ages! This year, there will be activities for kids (and adults if you want to join) taking place throughout the day in the WebExpo Kids room near the Lucerna Café. 

For children of the age of five and older, Jakub Balada and Tomáš Kapler prepared engaging and fun hands-on workshops where our future innovators will learn about 3D printing, try the basics of Scratch programming, enjoy LEGO BOOST, and explore various AI tools! Check the program for more details.

If your children are two years or older, they can hang out in our Kids’ Corner full of toys with our professional au pairs from Sto skupin while you attend talks

There will also be a Parents’ Coffee Lounge for parents with babies and toddlers who want to rest and talk over a cup of coffee in the Lucerna Café.

You bet! On Thursday, free workshops will take place in the Lucerna Cinema Small Hall. The maximum capacity of each workshop is indicated in the workshop description on our website. There is no need to register for free workshops, it’s first come, first served.

On the other hand, be sure to secure your spot at one of our Friday’s  Premium Workshops to deepen your professional knowledge and learn new skills from top-notch experts from around the world. You can look forward to full-day hands-on learning from web performance wizard Harry Roberts, queen of animations Cassie Evans and complex UIs master Vitaly Friedman.

🚗 We wouldn’t really recommend entering the city centre by your own car due to the lack of parking spots and traffic. But if you are driving, please look for paid parking and be aware of parking zones.

If you’re joining us early, you can register on Tuesday, May 28 at the Warm-Up Party in Apify Technologies, Lucerna Palace, Štěpánská 61, Prague 1 from 8 PM till 10 PM.

The main registration will start on Wednesday, May 29 from 7:00 AM in the Lucerna Passage.

You’ll receive an email a few days before the conference with a QR code to pick up your badge. Please come early and have the QR code ready, so we can get everyone checked in and ready for the grand opening at 8:40 AM in the Lucerna Great Hall. There will be six registration points, and you can choose to register at any of them.

After picking up your badge, you’ll get a tasty piece of quiche at our Breakfast point in Lucerna Passage. If you need a gluten-free, dairy-free or vegan option you can head to pick it up at Info Point 2 next to Lucerna Café. Please mind that there is only a limited amount of gluten-free/ dairy-free/ vegan packages available, so only choose this option if you really need it. 

We also recommend you get your reusable water/coffee cup at the same time, so you can enjoy your breakfast with a beverage! You can also bring your own favourite cup and water bottle. Important FYI: We collect a 50 CZK deposit in cash for each piece that will be fully refunded when you return the cup(s). 

Arriving later in the day? Please register at Info Point 1 in the Lucerna Great Hall or Info Point 2 next to the entrance to the Lucerna Café.

We’ll be kicking off WebExpo at 8:40 AM with a warm welcome from WebExpo Director Šárka Štrossová and an opening keynote from genius mind Nathan W. Pyle, and of course, a surprise you won’t want to miss. And when we say 8:40 AM, we mean it. Not a minute later.

Registration on Wednesday, May 29 starts at 7:00 AM. Please come early and have your ticket with the QR code ready, so we can get everyone checked in and ready before the conference opens at 8:40 AM in the Lucerna Great Hall. Don’t worry, you won’t be alone — most of our attendees like to come early, grab breakfast, and relax in the networking areas.

Instead of having a regular Q&A on stage at the end of each talk, we have a dedicated area called Speakers’ Corner for those who want to ask the speaker a question or open a discussion. You can always count on WebExpo to keep you well-fed and hydrated! 

At Wednesday’s registration after picking up your badge, you’ll get a tasty piece of quiche at our Breakfast point in Lucerna Passage. On Thursday, we’ll be handing out breakfast at the same spot and you can choose from many flavours of frgál (sweet traditional pastry). Don’t worry, we also have gluten-free, dairy-free or vegan options that will be provided at Info Point 2. Please be mindful that there is only a limited amount of gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan packages available, so we kindly ask you to choose this option only if you really need it. 

Water and hot drinks from Doubleshot and Alma Career Tea Room will be available all day. To be as ecological as possible, we offer reusable water and coffee cups. Each cup comes with a 50 CZK cash deposit (i.e. 100 CZK for both hot and cold cups), which is fully refunded to you upon cup(s) return. You can also bring your own favourite cup and water bottle. 

For lunch, don’t forget to stop by the Le Pizze di Frankie (cash only), Polífkárna (card or cash) and Lokše od Zuzky (card or cash) food stands and Dhaba Beas restaurant (card or cash) located in the Lucerna Passage.

Perfect place for everyone who needs a quiet place to answer emails or work in silence while listening to the talks on the big stage with one ear. There are plenty of outlets to charge your devices too.

What’s there? 15 minutes of heaven for your back and neck. Two masseuses will be helping participants get rid of their stiff muscles.

What’s there? Silence 🙂 You can write your emails in peace and listen to talks with one ear.

Gamified Mentoring is a new format of mentor hours. Explore the playful world of Monopoly-inspired networking board game – WebExpolis. Game and grow while getting expert advice from our mentors.

AI creation factory workshop is a new workshop for kids. Learn with Tomáš Kapler how to use generative AI tools such as Chat GPT, Copilot chatbots, Midjourney and Ideogram or train a machine learning model using Teachable Machine. Required age for this activity is 8+.

Venue orientation tour for attendees, meeting point at the Warm-Up Party registration point at 21:30 on Tuesday, May 28, you will get a unique chance to take a sneak peek behind the scenes of WebExpo and visit all the important spots for the upcoming days to never miss a talk because you couldn’t find the right hall.
